The Loft

The Loft is a long-term rental located in Golden Valley, Minnesota, defined by its soaring ceilings, open layout, and lofted second level.

Rather than focusing on cosmetic updates alone, this renovation prioritized improvements that would make the home more functional for everyday living while increasing its long-term value. Every renovation was chosen to improve the experience for future tenants while creating a property built to last.

The Design Direction

The vision for The Loft was clean, modern, and timeless.

White walls create a bright, versatile backdrop that's easy to maintain between tenants, while warm-toned modern flooring, black accents, and updated finishes add contrast and character. The goal was to create a home that feels fresh and elevated without relying on short-lived trends.

Designed for Long-Term Rental Living

Every renovation was completed with longevity in mind.

From installing energy-efficient windows and a new water heater to replacing the carpet and upgrading the stair railing, each improvement was selected to reduce maintenance, improve safety, and enhance the overall living experience.

Functionality was equally important. A new pantry added valuable kitchen storage, the primary closet was reimagined into a walk-in closet, and a pocket door door between the primary bedroom and living room created better flow throughout the home while providing more convenient access to the primary suite.

The result is a rental that feels intentional, practical, and designed to age well.
